You will go from surprise to surprise by admiring the wide canyons and tabular mountains on which the high dunes throw themselves on the way, you will discover many villages and hidden oases, you will reach Chinguetti, holy city classified as a heritage of humanity, symbol of the great cities Saharans of the Middle Ages.

The route:


Arrival in Nouakchott
Arrival in Nouakchott. Reception at the airport, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

Nouakchott- Akjoujt.- Amatlich – Azoiga Oasis
Departure for Akjoujt and continuation by the track to the massif of high dunes of Erg Amatlich and oasis of graritte livrasse, Azoiga.
Bivouac under the stars or in a nomadic tent.

The Pass of Foum Tizigui – Oasis El Meddah.
Early departure towards Foum Tizigui a pass in the cord of dunes of Amatlich, famous stage of the Paris-Dakar, this cord extends over nearly 400 km long.
We go to Oasis of El-Meddah, the largest palm grove in Mauritania. cords of dunes planted with palm trees, here begins the long cord of dunes of Amatlich.

Tifoujar – Terjit – the N’Tourvine pass – Mheirth
At the top of the Tifoujar pass, the view is impressive, a notch of 200 meters in altitude literally flows into the EL-Abiod wadi at the bottom of the valley, the dunes rise to attack this totally sandy pass.
We go to Terjit where an oasis of thermal waters with wonderful basins awaits us.
After the pass of N’Tourvine. Magnificent scenery After the pass, the track continues on the plateau towards the oasis of Mhaireth.

M’heirth – Ouadane – Guelb er Richat
After a walk in Mheirth oasis we return to Ouadane, we visit the old town, the museum which illustrates the highly glorious past of this country. and we visit The structure of Richat, nicknamed “the eye of Africa” or traditionally Guelb er Richât, is an old volcano crater,
Accommodation in a hostel

Chinguetti, the 7th holy city of Islam, dating from the 11th century, with its dry stone houses and its famous mosque declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
We visit the old town, the museum and the library

Canyon of Amogjar – Atar – Azougui – Yaghraf
We then continue to the canyon of Amogjar where we admire rock paintings and we visit one of the remains of the film “fort saganne”.etc….
We then head to Atar, the current capital of the
Adrar region, which hosts the largest and most colorful market in the whole region with its exotic products, typical of the Saharan trade. We first visit Azougui, former capital of the Almoravids who inhabited Spain in the 11th century, and current place of worship due to the presence of the tomb of Imam EL-Hadrami.

We return to Nouakchott.
Stroll on the beaches animated by the return to the port of the fishermen, visit the museum and the market.
Dinner in town and transfer to the airport.
