The Route: 
Nouakchott - Akjoujt - Amatlich - Azoiga Oasis
Depart from Nouakchott towards Akjoujt, then take the off-road trail leading to the towering dunes of Amatlich. Explore the secluded oases of Graritte Livrasse and Azoiga, where lush greenery stands in stark contrast to the golden desert expanse. Spend the night under a starry sky or in a traditional nomadic tent for an authentic Saharan experience.
Amatlich - Echaîla Palm Grove - El Meddah Oasis
Morning departure towards the oases of El Gleïtat and El Meddah, the largest palm grove in Mauritania. Cross the majestic dune ridges of Amatlich, where palm trees rise from the sand like green sentinels. Your path then leads to the Echaîla palm grove, tucked between rocky cliffs. As you make your way through the vegetation, discover a rock shelter adorned with ancient rock paintings, silent witnesses of the desert’s early inhabitants. Just steps away, a small freshwater spring offers an unexpected touch of coolness in the heart of the Sahara.
The day ends with a magical bivouac under the stars or in a nomadic tent, lulled by the endless silence of the desert.
